Michael Sheen in Talks to Play Bond 23 Villain?
June 16th, 2009
We reported last week that Bond 23 had a new screenwriter in Peter Morgan, and now it seems the film might land a frequent Morgan collaborator. According to The Guardian, actor Michael Sheen is in negotiations to portray the villain in Bond 23.Sheen would portray Ernst Stavro Blofield, a Bond villain who has appeared in six previous Bond films and he's been portrayed by actors such as Donald Pleasance, Telly Sevales, Charles Grey and the villain was also the inspiration for Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers film series.
Sheen has previously worked with the new Bond 23 writer Peter Morgan in several films, including The Queen, The Last King of Scotland, last year's Best Picture nominee Frost/Nixon and the upcoming The Damned United.
We'll be sure to keep you posted on any Bond 23 news as soon as we have more information.

Anyway I'll be happy to see a new film once it is out, until then I'll be watching other kick ass films.
By the way things are looking, it's looks like they might not be making a continuity, which would make it a trilogy. I think there just moving on, because of the way QOS ended, with the necklace in the snow and the fade out, almost seems like they're giving the impression that that whole section is over. Although, I'm expecting Mr. White to reappear somewhere in this series again.
'SETTING WITHIN THE TIME FRAME OF THE PREVIOUS MOVIES'
I meant the Daniel Craig era of Bond, so like if its set in the continuity of CR & QOS, since these take place before Dr No
Was his scars ever explain...like how he got them?
If this is setting within the time frame of the previous movies, then i see them starting from scratch, giving him hair, probably showing how he got the scars if it was ever explained probably 1st encounter with Bond i dunno, etc etc.
But i don't see this character being iconic that way, especially with Sheen in the role.
Its Blofeld's image that has made his status that everyone remembers, the scar, the suit, the long haired persian, etc etc.
Starting him from scratch, would be like having Darth Vader without his costume and his asmatic breathing problems.
Just doesn't work
I'd be interested to see what Micheal Sheen could do with the role, he seems to have some range as far as acting goes, so anything is possible.
Michael Sheen playing a Bond Villain, i can believe...
Michael Sheen playing the Bond Villain known as Ernest Stavo Blofield....Then someone needs to call a firing squad on the guy that though this up.
The only bit of truth in this article could possible be the first paragraph and the last.
The middle sounds too bogus
GTFO, Michael Sheen my bullocks, b4 he touches the role of ESB.
