Brett Ratner to Take Over The Wolf Man?

Source:  Ain't It Cool News
It seems that Universal might have found a replacement for Mark Romanek. According to Ain't It Cool News, Brett Ratner is set to replace Mark Romanek for the upcoming The Wolf Man remake.

This hasn't been confirmed as of yet, but it comes from
Ain't It Cool News's "incredibly realiable source."

We reported that Mark Romanek has departed the project due to creative differences, but apparently Universal has tapped helmer Brett Ratner for the remake.

The film stars Benecio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt, and is scheduled for release on February 18, 2009.

Ok here is a thought for director....Sam Raimi or about George A Romero..mabey he can do something besides zombie films!!?!?

The cast looks good, but Brett Ratner makes films that you forget about them after you see them!

Peter Jackson's a little busy with, oh, I don't know, producing The Hobbit and making fat bank that he would never ever get from this movie. Why doesn't Soderberg do it? Or here's an idea, let's reanimate Cecil B. DeMille to direct this. No, I bet Spielberg wants to do a monster movie garnering the interest of Brett Ratner. The cast looks good, but Ratner?
And X3 was not good. Never have I ever wanted to hurt someone as bad as I wanted to shoot Ratner and the lobotomized studio execs behind X3 in the kneecaps than when I saw that movie.

Episode 3 was good, and x3 was good too, i agree though I don't think he should direct Wolfman, what about Peter Jackson???

Look, Ratner could have taken one look at the X3 script and said, I'm not touching this shit-storm. But instead he warped it even more and what happened was worse than Episode III

Wow, a lot of Ratner haters out there. I think he's just so-so myself, but it looks like he's the go-to guy for action movies that lose their directors, so I give him credit here, and for "X-Men 3", for having to completely take over a project where the original director decides to drop out. It's not an easy thing to do.

Oh i almost forgot Mark Steven Johnson is a mixed bag he shows substance and heart in Simon Birch a dark side in the Daredevil directors cut and we all know about Ghost Rider (shudder)

Of course the Ratner hate begins i do hope you realize Ratner never ruined X-3 after Bryan Sing abandoned (yeah that's right) the franchise to do that stupid Superman movie they went through four directors and rewrites until Ratner signed on and had what a month or two t shoot it. Blame the writers or the unstable production for the result of X-3. the Rush Hour films are stupid buddy cop flicks Ratner knew that when he made them. Many of you forget what an amazing job he did with Red Dragon and the fact that he's back with Anthony Hopkins in a remake of a classic tale could be quite promising. Remember it's not always the directors fault.

Ratner's a joke!! He will turn this film into a popcorn joke!! "X-Man 3" was a waste of space, & "Rush Hour 3" was Just Part 1 & 2 combined!

x3 was a failure and rush hour 3 was a mix of part 2 with some new stuff in it, i figure with a cast like that you would have to be almost useless to not pull off at least a "watchable"movie!

Brett Ratner and Mark Steven Johnson should fight to the death. Then the winner should be shot in the head.

OH, COME ON!!!!!!!!! I liked X3 (not as much as X2, though), but what, is this guy the "go-to" guy for movies who've lost directors!!! First he took Brian Singer's place, and now this! The guy directed the Rush Hour movies, he can't make this as dark as it was planned to be!!

Brett Ratner...Ruined Xmen3. Nuff said.
