Stephen Dorff and Stephen Norrington Set for Blade Prequel Trilogy

Source:  Comics2Film, The Daily Mail
Stephen Dorff in BladeIt seems an original actor and the original director are up for telling more vampire-hunting tales. According to Comics2Film, actor Stephen Dorff and director Stephen Norrington have a planned prequel trilogy in store for Blade.

Norrington, who directed the first film, originally told The Daily Mail in 2008 that "a prequel to the Blade movies, Deacon's story. It's a new trilogy the director has created. It will [be] cool."

Norrington confirmed the news of the prequel but added the film is, "not exactly how the article describes but close." The director said that Dorff, who played Deacon Frost in the original film, came up with a concept that, "has evolved into a very interesting story."

I liked the first Blade, but I thought the two sequels were far inferior. Not sure a prequel will improve the series either. Snipes carried the last two films along, but there's no mention of him here, which means he's probably not onboard for this. Not a good sign, methinks.

If you go back and watch the special features and watch the alternate ending to the first movie, where Frost turns into a giant blood blob. The commentator said that nearly everyone in the test audience said that they lost complete interest in the movie when Stephen Dorff's character wasn't physically involved in the end.

Lol, Yes, Yes, Yes. I win again. I beat Messenger again. I'm 17-0. Anyways, I watched Blade 3 online to just remember how shitty it was. Even shittier the second time around.
