Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum Join G.I. Joe!

Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum have signed on as the leads in Steven Sommers' upcoming action feature G.I. Joe. According to Variety, Quaid will play General Hawk and Tatum will play Duke Hauser, the leader of this Hasbro franchise.

Quaid and Tatum will join a stellar cast featuring Marlon Wayans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rachel Nichols, Sienna Miller, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Said Taghmaoui. Filming for the G.I. Joe feature will begin next month in Los Angeles.

G.I. Joe is scheduled to be released August 7th, 2009.

i liked the idea of Chris Evans, espes after seeing him in "Sunshine"!!!
other actors...... well for the looks you could probly go for Mark Walberg!! or a Ryan Renolds, he was kick ass in "Smoking Aces"!!

wtf? Tatum/Gordon-Levitt? I don't even want to see this movie anymore. Half the cast is awesome the other is fucking horrible.

they need someone better to portray Duke for sure. He is way too young looking. Course i think back to how many people at first said Ledger was not going to be a good Joker...so i will keep that in mind as well. but overall i think he was a bad choice for the role

Hope it doesnt suck, although im sure is gonna have a pg-13 rating. It was never gonna be a serious film, but this break dancing dude just killed any chances of me watching this thing.

There really hasn't been any great actors in this movie, but now we have Dennis Quaid. He belongs in a G.I. Joe movie. And I'm not giving up on Tatum yet. If I did, all that ranting on the other page that said he was probably gonna be Duke was for nothing. heh, heh, heh

I am down with dennis quaid as Hawk good choice. Channing Tatum I am a little leary on I think chris evans would have been better but oh well. And I was wondering if I could get a roll possibly as Shipwreck,Flint,Gung Ho,or as the Blind master. (yeah im a dork)

The guy looks like a puny version of Dominic Purcell.
