Stan Lee to Produce a Film About a Gay Superhero

Variety reports that Showtime is putting together a project with Stan Lee that examines a superhero who is a homosexual.

Based on the book Hero by Perry Moore, the story will focus on a new superhero and the double life he leads.

Lee will executive produce the untitled project along with Gill Champion. Champion is the CEO and president of Lee's Pow! Entertainment.

Perry Moore will be writing the screenplay with Hunter Hill.

Ohhhhhhh, BTW, Perry Moore, who wrote the book "Hero" was the executive producer of Disney and Walden Medias film adaptation of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" !!!!

Hey I'm gay too and I don't think this is such a bad idea...I'm a little skeptic about it but anyways lets see how its done. It could be good, or a piece of crap hehe. I just wouldn't like a stereotyped gay or something like that. Anyways I like the idea, shows how open minded people can be hehe. Now let's see all the gay bashing comments rain...sad.

Homosexual superheroes are not new. The Authority is a pretty popular title, and Apollo and Midnighter are a gay couple.
