Lindsay Lohan Joins Cast of Ugly Betty

Lindsey Lohan is taking a cue from Britney Spears and joining a popular television show for a couple of episodes. That's right, the troubled teen star is taking up residency on ABC's Ugly Betty for an extended stay.

The actress will first appear in the series' May 22nd season finale. She will also be appearing in the first five episodes of this fall's third season. On the program, Lohan will be playing an old schoolmate of Betty's. While the character wasn't very nice to her in the past, Betty lends the girl a hand when she falls on hard times.

Lohan's first day of shooting was this Saturday.
