Kevin Durand to Play the Blob in Wolverine

Source:  Film School Rejects
Kevin Durand as The Blob in WolverineOne more piece of Wolverine casting news has been leaked, this time revealing that it will be Kevin Durand inside the rubber suit that will define The Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Film School Rejects revealed that Durand was the actor who originally "live-scanned" the character for test footage, but now the 3:10 to Yuma actor has officially signed for the role.

According to their reports, Durand will be shooting most of his scenes in Canada, beginning as early as March, 2008.What's interesting about that is that the bulk of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine shoot is currently filming in Sydney, Australia. So, it's possible that the Blob won't share many scenes with the other primary characters, or that Durand's work will be done in front of a green-screen and then later added in with the other actors.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores Wolverine's early days, before joining the X-Men. The film will cover Logan's early life, and his involvement with the mysterious Weapon X program. The film stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Shrieber, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, will.i.am, Daniel Henney, Dominic Monaghan and Lynn Collins. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is due to arrive in theatres in 2009.

i agree, he looks the part, and i'm sure there going to digitize most of this.. a suit would probably look really lame

true. too many characters. however i think that they will all have tiny parts. Like i said b4. I always picyued this movie to have a massive mutant hunting party after wolverine in like a fogged wood or something. anyways. thats me.

They already said the Blob might be in the movie, so it's not that surprising. ROAD TRIP!

I put this on the other page, but I guess I'll put it on this one two!

This is gonna be fucking hilarious to see the Blob on screen! Ha! But when they say he encounters all these people along the way it sounds like a friggin' road trip! Whatever, I'm excited about it. It sounds like it'll be a good movie.
