It may not be the classic children's tale, but it has a director. According to Variety, David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane) has been set to direct Humpy Dumpty.

The horror/sci-fi film will be done in 3-D and will center on human-alien hybrid who goes on a kill spree after its mother is abused by two southern rednecks. Ellis will direct from a script by Billy Majestic.

The film was said to start production this September.
