burton is doing 1984?
interesting, im gonna have to find some info on that thanks for the heads up.
What I should have said was, I wish Burton would use some original source material - not a classic book, film, or comic.
All these "reimaginings" or whatever you want to call them are tired.
The donkey asked after your mother incidentally Sweenyfan1.
BTW, my favorite Burton film is Sweeney Todd, then Big Fish.
That and he hasn't thought up anything new for a while.
Directors that get stuck, do remakes for money.
Maybe its the creep of CGI, or the reliance on remaking classics but for me his films since the mid 90s have just lacked "magic" for want of a better word.
His production design is still fantastic and he always gets something good out of his actors i.e Depp so I hope he can return to form.
Maybe Frankenweenie will deliver the goods, but even that's a remake!!
He's lost his muse or something...
