Jimmy Bennett Has Landed the Role of Young Kirk in Star Trek

Movie PictureJimmy Bennett has signed on to play a young James Kirk in Paramount Pictures highly anticipated space epic Star Trek. According to Ropes of Silicon, J.J. Abrams will direct the space epic which was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

Bennett will join an all-star cast that includes Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Bana, Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Winona Ryder, Bruce Greenwood, Rachel Nichols, Jennifer Morrison, Clifton Collins Jr. and Tyler Perry.

Star Trek is scheduled to be released in theaters on Christmas Day 2008.

Who the hell is Jimmy Bennett?? After lookng at his filmography the only 2 film's I remember him is that crappy Re-Make of "Poseidon" where he played that whining kid and you wished to god he drowned, & again he played another whining kid in that god awfull Re-Make of "The Amityville Horror"!!!

What was the casting call for the role of "young James Kirk"...whining kid who must cry all time and get on your nerves!!

This Re-boot &/Or Re-Make of "Star Trek" just might sink??!!

Great what next Dakota Fanning???
