p.s its like saying GOHAN is a "skinny bastard"..LOL and we(as in DB/Z/GT fans) ALL know that he is friggin Ripped and Buff since he was 13-14 years old..or even younger maybe (Freiza/Namek Saga)

at "coolpants" nah guy..Goku wasnt a "skinny bastard" in Dragon Ball..he was pretty big and Definitely Friggin RIPPED in Piccolo Jr. Saga if u remember..u can even go to megavideo and take another look for yourself..unlike this faggot justin chatwin..thats why his shirt magically went back to normal tucked in and tied back when he reversed back to human from the fake tiny weak "oozaru" if his shirt was still torn..people would see how Tiny and Scronny he REALLY is..and everybody would just laugh at his ass even more!! while people are already laughing at him executing the fake ugly ass (firebending) "kamehameha"

guys you just have to know what your talking about...its called "Dragonball" for a reason! in dragonball, Goku wasnt Buff at all! he was a skinny bastard. your all thinking of "dragonball Z" in the next movie, they will probably pick someone alot bigger. but in this one i repeat "DRAGONBALL" HE IS SKINNY!

There's a difference between animated and live action. I never liked Dragon Ball, but, at least to me, this pic makes want to watch the film. And I will. Please be more open minded.

Im curious to see a trailer though from what Ive seen of the pic it looks rather unimpressive. More like a Halloween party than a movie. Im just not sure it will work well as a live action flick with this cast. I could be wrong. Hopefully I am but I have serious doubts.

HAHA!! This movie will become the new joke among fans much like Street Fighter did awhile back...I mean come on. If they wanted to do a DBZ movie, it should have been in full CGI, not live action with skinny white boys playing the lead hero...I can't wait to see this flop. My only regret is that Chow Yun Fat is in this...a brilliant actor in a joke of a movie...oh he should so fire his agent!

If they made a Pokemon movie, do you think that Justin Chatwin could play Ash? He fits Ash physically, not Goku

Thank you @ Kupo...I'd outgrown the Dragonball series a long time ago but I anticipated a live-action format to it. I knew it would be leap years beyond that Japanese farce years ago, if you aren't familiar with it, it's no big deal. So, that already gives this film a plus whether I see a trailer for it or not. lol! If it can grasp me with the plot as well as visually, then I'll be sold.

@mieko siede

thank you for actually going into detail about your criticisms, rather than just saying 'this looks gay' like everyone else. Of course, im fine with the use of derogative langauge to describe something, but its nice to hear a valid opinion once in awhile

I'd like to see a trailer so that I can see where this is going. Thus far, what I've seen in the pictures are unimpressive. I need a real visual to sway my opinion. I agree with a lot of you, Justin Chatwin does not fit in this role at all, not as Goku. As many young martial artists there are out there, they go with actors. Keanue Reeves didn't sell me on his hand to hand skills in The Matrix, but that seems to be what Hollywood is doing these days. Not to say there weren't posers before, but not for this movie. This isn't one of those films that requires academy award winning performances. Just strong action/solid storyline and plot/and stellar special effects. Just keep my eyes glued to the screen. Yes in Dragonball Goku was a younger character. He had shape to him, but he wasn't "buff", so that doesn't bother me about Justin. What bothers me about him is the fact that he just does not fit. The plot to Dragonball wasn't as interesting as Z. That's where I would have started providing flashbacks into his past to bring us into the present, like a prologue to the film. If it spun with the so-called acting route, it would have to be an epic stretching to or near a three hour length. That's just to tell the story and not leave the audience feeling as though something is missing or it was abruptly ended. Enlist martial artists and wrestlers to side with the real actors that aren't required to do much or anything at all. But I fear this film won't leave you feeling as though you were hanging on the edge of your feet with action so breath-taking that the wow factor doesn't end once you've left the theater. The choreography would have to be more incredible and more grounded than wire-hung than the special effects, that's what they'd be for. The special effects should take it to another level between the action and eye-popping scenery.
That's just me...I want to see a trailer for this so that I can form a solid opinion about this. The pictures provided thus far have done nothing to peak my interest. I hope the gimmick isn't just in the name. Because it's Dragonball people will see it. We already know it is going to deviate from the cartoon a lot. But hopefully not enough to spoil an already good thing. This isn't Field of Dreams, "If you film it, they will watch" lol! Movie goers pay attention to detail now more than ever.
