Fox Pushes Dragonball to 2009

Source:  20th Century Fox
20th Century Fox has pushed back the release date of the Dragonball movie from August 15, 2008 to April 3, 2009.

No explanation has come from the studio about the date shift, but now, instead of going up against the theatrical release of the Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder, the Emma Roberts starrer Wild Child, and it's very own Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the film has now slotted itself during a week in 2009 in which no film has yet to announce it's release date.

Dragonball is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero Goku, while James Marsters will play the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.

The film stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park and Chow Yun-Fat.

Take it for what it is, it's a revision, they can do whatever the hell they want, I for one won't be watching it cuz it's a total abomination to the entire series.

Goku hits his head as a kid and forgets who he is. He doesn't have a change of heart.

i think the movie will be decent not great. but for any fan who likes the draganball story will find it entertaining. I know I'll go see it. Probably could of picked a better Goku. But, ya never know he might surprise us. The only thing I'm dissappointed about is that Krillin does not seem to be in this film, which sucks cuz he's my favorite character. If I'm wrong feel free to let me know.
