Source:  Variety
Linwood Boomer is about to get back in the middle of the family comedy genre with his new CBS project. According to Variety, the Malcolm in the Middle creator is in negotiations with CBS for his new family comedy, The Karensky's.

The comedy will revolve around the grown daughter of a large, quirky family who returns to her hometown when her husband gets a job in her hometown.

The project had originally been set up at CBS a decade ago, but Boomer focused his efforts on Malcolm in the Middle when Fox picked up the series.
