Writer's Guild of America has released the nominations for the 2009 WGA Awards, and
The Dark Knight is among the nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Among the other nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay are
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,
Doubt,
Frost/Nixon and
Slumdog Millionaire. In the category of Best Original Screenplay, the nominated films are
Burn After Reading,
Milk,
Vicky Cristina Barcelona,
The Visitor and
The Wrestler. Finally, in the category of Best Documentary Screenplay, the nominees are
Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story,
Chicago 10,
Fuel,
Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson and
Waltz with Bashir.
The 2009 WGA Awards will be handed out on February 7, 2009.

The Dark Knight, the latest Batman film received the People's Choice Award for Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Superhero (Christian Bale) and Favorite Onscreen Matchup (Christian Bale and Heath Ledger) at the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards, Wednesday January 7, 2009.
