Scary Movie Franchise to Be Rebooted?

I'm sorry...this is fuckin stupid.

let them waste their money on this dumbass remake if i was head of this studio someone would be loseing their job for thinking up this lame ass idea, because this is how i see this " these aree the people who waste studios money bringing them to bankruptcy because noone wants to waste their hard earned money on a dumbass remake of a franchise that was only good when the wayan brothers were doing it !..."

here's what they are thinking, scream 4 is coming out and they are now gonna parody that movie

Hollywood should reboot its current mindset. Seriously, as many have already stated, nobody gives two shits about crappy spoof films, which usually parodies sub-par horror films. I refused to see Scary Movie 4, Date Movie, Superhero Movie and Epic Movie, and I will most definitely "skip" (to put it lightly) the crock of shit, that desperate, forlorn procures are brewing. I am still recovering from the first three.

The first reboot I have had a problem with. Jesus Christ what a sad idea.

Rebooting a franchise no one really cares about... waste of time anyone? This is just dumb.

It's not a remake. Reboot and remake are different things...most of the time. In this case, they're replacing all the characters and it will most likely make fun of films that this franchise hasn't spoofed yet...so it's a reboot. I don't care if another one of these movies is ever made, but...it's not a remake.

Oh, and yes, I know Zucker produced Superhero Movie.

This franchise is pretty top notch. The first one was a great homage to the likes of Zucker, Abrahams, and Proft. The second one is pretty good too. Then Zucker himself came aboard, and delivered funny, albeit different, humor from the first two. The fourth had some good moments, but overall wasn't very good.

The only problem that really stemmed from the Scary Movie series is the "Insert Genre Here" Movie that had nothing to do with the Wayans or the Zucker group. By that I mean Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, Date Movie, Superhero Movie, and Meet The Spartans... all some of the worst films ever made.

The whole idea of "rebooting this franchise" is so damn stupid!!..

The only ones that were funny were Part 1 and 2...With Anna Farris and the Waynes Brothers..after that they were wack!..so doing this whole thing again iss sooooo damn DUMB!!!

no reason to remake this, these kind of spoof movies are dead and gone....guess the wayans bros got time on there hands and no money in the bank lol

what!?! why reamke somthing like this why not just call it scary movie 5? jus cuz it wont have anna farris in dosetn mean they need to give it a reboot, well either way sequel or remake still a bad idea.

By "reboot" I hope they mean "kill everyone involved and burn the prints, then never make another spoof movie on pain of drowning/electrocution."
