Source:  Variety
Variety reports that actor Idris Elba was recently cast on The Office. He will play a rival to Dunder Mifflin's tightly wound manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell).

The guy can act. Now can he do comedy. And if the die hard fans can put up with Rashida Jones (whom "they" claim can't act) then Idris will do just fine.
