Adam Yauch has recently announced that he will launch Oscilloscope Pictures with former ThinkFilm vice president David Fenkel. According to
the Hollywood Reporter, Yauch and Fenkel plan to acquire narrative and documentary features from festivals for release in the U.S. and provide funds to complete and release unfinished films.
Yauch and Fenkel previously worked together on the Beastie Boys documentary
Awesome: I F***in' Shot That for ThinkFilms. Fenkel said many campaigns will incorporate an indie music label-style, DIY approach in keeping with the Beastie Boys' style of connecting with fans.
Oscilloscope Pictures has not yet announced any films to be released.

If you're monitoring this board, it's Sean Fernald (formerly of Capitol Records). I just produced an indie horror mindf**k film (think Dario Argento meets Shaun of the Dead) called RED VELVET. You can find info, a trailer, and a link to contact me at http://www.redvelvetmovie.com
This is a strange way to reconnect, but hey . . . you never know.
Hope you're well - - Congrats on the new deal!
All the best,
Sean Fernald
