Studios to Make Big Showing During Super Bowl

Source:  Var
According to Variety, Hollywood is plunking down some heavy money for the Super Bowl.

It seems that every studio has something to offer for the game which airs on NBC February 1.

Films getting the treatment are Paramount's Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, Star Trek and G.I. Joe; Sony's Angels & Demons; DreamWorks Animation's Monsters Vs. Aliens; and Universal's Land of the Lost and its fourth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise.

Disney will also be promoting Pixar's, Up and a Wolverine spot is likely from Fox.

It is anticipated that Paramount will use the game to show off the first footage from Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

The Super Bowl had 97 million viewers last year.

NBC claims that 85% of its ads were sold in September. Even so, studios didn't have to pay top dollar because NBC had to fill 67 ad slots for the game.

Fox still hasn't bought any ad time but if they do it is expected that Wolverine, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs will be the films promoted.

Warner Bros. and MGM both haven't bought any ad time.

And I love being a "know-it-all," so to each his own

I sleep very soundly and peacefully knowing that I have everything I could want. Your kind consists of the "I think I know it all because I'm 15 and so that means I am always right" type. No matter how much you think that you are different from the other students who are reserved and quiet, you are not. The fact still remains that yes, I can and do base grades off of students attitudes and actions. I do not have biased opinions. I read and HATED the Watchmen novel. It is no different than if you had read and HATED Milton's Paradise Lost. Just because you or I don't like it doesn't mean that either of us are biased. And stop bringing up my damn sexuality, it just shows your immaturity. I am sick of you pointing it out everytime you post something pertaining to me. Whenever the abortion of a film is released into theaters go and enjoy it by all means. I will not. And I most certainly do not base my opinions on movies regarding how much money they make. I admit that I have on several occasions brought up monetary issues, but it only goes to further prove the popularity of the film. The one thing you did get right though is that yes, I am a prick. AND I LOVE IT.

My kind? What, the kind of person that retaliates against a bias prick? THAT'S why I don't like you, not because of your sexuality, but because you ignore what is good about something because of your bias opinions. I LOVE how you just ignored everything I said and attacked "my kind." It's because you KNOW I'm right. Just the fact that you would even THINK about basing a students grade on how much you like them proves my point. You have all the wrong opinions for all the wrong reasons. You base your opinions on movies on how much money they make, you base your opinions on literature on if they follow "the rules," because God forbid a comic book has some moral and literary value. And now you say you'd base a students grade on your opinion of them.

I'd still like to know what "my kind" is...is it because I express my opinions and you hate to admit a 15 year old is right and you're not? MY teachers LOVE my attitude because I stand up for what I think is right. I hate "YOUR kind." Not homos, believe it or not, I've come to tolerate that aspect of you because I've grown up a little, unlike you. I hate you because your the type of person who thinks he's being "smart" when attacking someone out of the blue. You think you're "smart" even when you're talking out of your ass and aren't making any kinds of sense. I respect people who stand up for their opinions, but what I don't respect is people who pretend to stand up for stupid opinions just to make people angry. It's really immature on your part and I don't know how you sleep at night.

You know what Vis, you are the type of student that I hate. I would base your grade off of how much I like you. Too bad you don't think I have the right to teach kids. I do whatever I want. Deal with it. I truly despise you and your kind.

I just saw a TV Spot for Watchmen during the Giants/Eagles game on...what?...that's right, on Fox. No money to promote it my ass. And guess what?...had the same release date

You know what? You have no right teaching children. For a homosexual, you sure are an ignorant piece of shit. I doubt you even read the novel, and if you did, as an English teacher, you should at least be able to ACKNOWLEDGE the fact that it was advanced for its time and genre, but NOOOOO...comic books can't be taken seriously to some bias fuckwad. Just because it isn't 17th century Shakespeare doesn't make it bad, it just makes it not your cup o' joe.

You're insulting us for being nothing but "fanboys" who are defending one of the greatest pieces of pop fiction ever produced, but when someone bashed you're precious Jurassic Park, steam was coming out of your ears. You're a fanboy just like the rest of us, but what separates you from us is that we are willing to admit to a comic book being a literary masterpiece. Oh, and for the record, JP is great, but compared to Watchmen, it sucks more dick than Paris Hilton at a porn convention.

Note that I didn't insult your sexuality in the second statement, just the irony of a hateful homosexual. The fact you were just taunting Comrade when he didn't even mention your name just proves that you have no right teaching kids about ANYTHING, literature especially.

Yeah I will definitely be DVRing the game to watch the ads. Oh, and ComradeHenson, I am so glad that no money is being spent to promote Watchmen during the superbowl. It'd be a waste anyway since it won't be out on the date they advertise.
