The Wachowski Brothers' adaptation of
Speed Racer, the live-action adaptation of the Japanese cartoon series, is currently awaiting a green light from Warner Bros., according to
Production Weekly.
The production has just setup shop in the Burbank offices that were previously home to Bryan Singer's remake of
Logan's Run.
Two years ago Vince Vaughn pitched his take on the tale, one that casts him in the role of Racer X, the long-lost but protective brother of the title character, the young driver who travels from race to race with his family.
