Sam Raimi Might Film Spider-Man 4 in Michigan

Source:  The Oakland Press
It seems that director Sam Raimi might be heading home for his new film. According to The Oakland Press, Raimi will return to Oakland County in Michigan, where he grew up, to film certain scenes of Spider-Man 4.

Raimi is slated to begin production on Spider-Man 4 in 2010, in fact and, he said, envisions shooting some of that movie in Michigan.

"I'll be looking at Michigan for our second-unit photography on the new Spider-Man film," he confirmed.

The extensive infrastructure needed to crank out megabudget productions like the three "Spider-Man" movies he already has made has, for the most part, kept him in Hollywood, Raimi pointed out.

Producers are always looking at the bottom line, and if they can get the same looking stuff somewhere else cheaper, they're going to shoot there," Rumble said.

Such was the case with Spider-Man 3.

"It was cheaper to shoot in Ohio because the streets we were shooting on had storefronts that looked a little bit more like New York than Detroit did," Raimi explained. "But if the incentives Michigan has now had been in place, we would have had the money to adapt a set in Detroit."

all i got to say is that spiderman 3 sucked and that they better do spiderman 4 right and bring in the lizard i mean they already introduced the charactor and if not him then carnage would be a logical idea as well but that would be a strech and not this stupid two at once bs

Glad to know they're coming to my state for production. Tons of movies have been filming here over the past couple years, due to breaks and no taxation on filming.

Sandman isnt a key villain though there is no way he could tie down a whole movie by himself. Venom was needed. There however was no need for Sandman. What should have happened was that The first fight of the movie is Spidey vs the new green goblin harry osborn. SPidey gets beat within an inch of his life. The GG throws spidey into Doc conners lab where he smashes through a bunch of science shit including a vile filled with some black goop that was just retrieved off the side of a returning space ship. (piloted by JJJ' son) Anywho the stuff latches on to him and and he is able to gain enough strength to escape. Peter begins to develop anger at his life going on around him and frustration at his once friend harry. NOT ANY STUPID WEIRD SELF CONFIDENCE AND DANCE NUMBERS. This whole time Eddie brock is trying to work with Peter learn the ropes of the DB, (eddie brock is an old football jock who needs some quick bucks and thinks if parker can do this why cant i?) But pete's new anger issues pisses eddie off and after pete throws across a room he begins to hate and loath him. Anyways Big battle between Spidey and the Green Goblin (on a glider not a stupid ass skate board) anywho spidey nearly kills harry, but MJ's yelling stops pete jsut before he kills harry.) Peter realizes what he's become and does the whole bell ripping. And Eddie who was taking pictures of the whole fight follows spidey, see's he is peter and becomes venom! This is only half way through the film leaving a whole other half for venom.

i am so sorry i wont go on any more. That whole rant was just basically about how frustrated i was with Spiderman 3. It should have been the best super movie to date, but everything went

maybe if it was called spiderman the musical it would have been good...
grr i hate that movie

Spider-Man 3 wasn't all Sam's fault. He was pressured into adding Venom by the studio when I don't think he really wanted to. Both he and Maguire stated that they're fans of Sandman and wanted him in the third.

What the TMNT! LOL! I'm going to have to take that to work :P

I have a hunch 4 will be better than 3. Then again, I'm a die-hard Marvel. I'll see it regardless.

"Spider-Man 3," in my opinion, was a pretty good movie. I do admit, though, that I wish Venom would have had a bigger role. A LOT bigger role.

I hope this one is better than Spider-Man 3. That movie was just awful. Maybe Mr.Raimi has learned from Spider-Man 3's mistakes and will handle this more carefully. As of right now I am not excited. I need to see and hear more.
