Third Batman Movie to Hit Theaters 2011?

Source:  Courier Post
Michael Uslan, executive producer of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight told New Jersey's Courier-Post that The Dark Knight sequel is expected to hit theaters in 2011:

Uslan will be onboard as executive producer for the "Dark Knight" sequel, which he estimates will be theaters by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman's supervillains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. "It's one of those deals where if I told you, I'd have to kill you," he says with a chuckle.

The Dark Knight took home two awards at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday: Heath Ledger won for Best Supporting Actor and The Dark Knight also won Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture. Although nominated, The Dark Knight did not take home the the Producer of the Year Award at the Producers Guild of America Awards on Saturday, which went to the equally amazing Slumdog Millionaire.

I just hope they don't go back to the shitty form like Batman Begins was.

Man.. They need to get someone like Black Mask or Freeze or the Riddler/Johnny Depp or maybe even Manbat. But make them realistic. If they plan to do Catman, then "The Dark Knight" was the last one.

I didn't like Batman Returns, or Danny Devito's performance for that matter, that's why I like the new Batman movies a whole lot more, they're more realistic than what Burton did or the other guy, but yeah I really didn't like Batman Returns or Batman & Robin for that matter.

I don't have a problem, and I never said that heath Ledger was a bad actor, he was terrific and by far the best performance by a supporting actor in the past decade. he did a fantastic job, but so did danny devito, so if they nominated him for worst supporting aactor, then they wouldv'e nominated heath ledger also, but because he died, their not gonna. but yeah heath Ledger did a great job

i have a feeling that nolan will do this film since it his franchise and it just what he does. this is his trademark. He can't just walk away from something he does best and leave this film unfinished.

COME BACK NOLAN!!!

Pandemic, what the hell is your problem. Heath was an amazing Joker, and I don't care what anyone says, Danny DeVito was an amazing Penguin.

Chad, I know it probably won't change your opinion of Catwoman, but my idea a while ago, was that she was a burglar, but also a very excelled gymnast with an affinity for cats. So she took her gymnastics into a cat suit, and her burglary to a high, until it started to get out of hand, and Batman notices her. Then bam! We got ourselves Batman's newest, and strangest love interest. If they DO put Catwoman in a movie, I vote Rachel Weisz for the role. I heard a rumor about that that I REALLY liked, so I hope it's true. LOLZ!

That said, I think Vicky Vale should be Batman's love interest in this film.

If

if Heath Ledger didn't die, he would've been nominated for Worst Supporting Actor by the golden Raspberry awards, just like Danny Devito was for his role as the penguin in Batman Returns. Danny Devito was just as good as heath ledger.

No offense, but why do people want Catwoman in the 3rd film? Don't you think that'd ruin the continuity of badass/good plotted Batman villians? How do you explain Catwoman? Even if you tried to spin it and just say she has a thing with cats, that'd just be ripping off of Batman and why he chooses bats as his fear lol. It wouldn't make sense with her. Who is scared of cats? Old egyptians lol? Maybe a normal person with her name Selena Kyle could have a love interest with Bruce who is just obsessed with cats, but doesn't literally dress up as a latex/pleather cat person. There wouldn't be a good enough reason for her to be dressed like that. It took the entire Batman Begins to give him justification when he wears a bat suit, to strike fear.

You could do Harley easier than Catwoman, you could make any story you want and it'd work. People are scared of clowns, not cats lol.

the character Alor2 describes, Wrath sounds pretty cool and could work. and i like that he isn't a well known villain.

my personal choices r Black Mask, Hush, Riddler or Scarface.

alright, i didn't read all 118 posts so sorry if this was already brought up, but someone on another board mentioned something i kinda thought could work. wut if Rachel didn't die? and the Joker essentially did the same thing to her, makin her Harley Quinn, i know it varies from the comics in like everyway but i just thought it was interesting enough to post here and see some comments.

and to add to that idea, Catwoman could make another love triangle and be pretty interesting, Harley doin w/e could the make ppl of Gotham think the Joker is loose, and then Catwoman could be introduced somehow. idk just a thought.

Also i'd love to see Clayface too, Vital

I actually made up a realistic origin for him, that he is a sociopathical and psychopathical actor who gets to in-depth and into character that he becomes his charcters he plays in his films, i did a recreation of the Matt Hagem clayface

Well Nolan is a higher echeleon director and he actually controls the Batman franchise he has created from Begins to Gotham Knights and TDK. And well if they are moving on with the production of the third Batman film without stating that Nolan is returning then i'm guessing, he gave them a no.

Because it was stated that the third Batman film WOULD NOT be ANNOUNCED until Nolan made his decision.
That came from both Warner Bros & DC Presidents.

And well come on they've announced the third film without stating Nolan is returning.

Deadshot, Hush, Bane, Riddler, or Talia will likely be the next villians. As much as I love Clayface, there's no way lol.

January 27th, 2009 10:17pm
ok people ENOUGH of your interpretations of what the third film SHOULD be..they all sound like an episode from the animated series
If Nolan doesn't return WE the people who pushed TDK to where it is now won't show the same love for the third and if the higher ups don't get that then they haven't learned shit!

nolan has to do this movie or else it gonna suck.

January 27th, 2009 8:05pm
Also people lets note this...

If this news is correct then that means Nolan has given them a no on returning, because Nolan actually controls this franchise not the producers.
Even Alan Horn (WB President) and DC's President stated they are waiting on Nolan to confirm the film and if he is returning.
And this article says nothing of Nolan returning, so i'm assuming he gave them a no and moved on.

So they are going along the Batman franchise without Nolan consent?

He ain't gonna like this...say bye bye Nolans

Scrap Cillain, War-zone.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman stated he has nothing to do with the next Batman movie, so did Depp, although he did state it would be inteteresting to play Riddler.
No Joker...

Bane, definate, but not CGI, the story of Bane being Bruce Wayne's brother could link in here.

But my dream villains are Bane, Hush, Catwoman or Riddler

I think the title should be called The Bat Lord.
