2) Ghosts of Girlfriends Past $15.3 million
3) Obsessed $12.2 million
4) 17 Again $6.3 million

It couldn't even take an online leak of the film for the summer movie season to get kicked off in a big way. X-Men Origins: Wolverine lead the way at the box office this weekened with a heroic estimated gross of $87 million. The film scored the highest opening weekend gross of the year, despite an online leak of a workprint version of the film. The film scored a staggering $21,225 per-screen average, from 4,099 theaters.

Another newcomer fared rather well also, with Ghosts of Girlfriends Past opening in second place with an estimated gross of $15.3 million. Last weekend's box office winner, Obsessed, dropped to third place with $12.2 million, 57 percent down from last weekend.

Next weekend brings the new J.J. Abrams reboot of Star Trek to theaters, with an estimated theater count of 3,500, and Next Day Air opens in about 1,000 theaters as well. How big will Star Trek open with? Stop by next Sunday to find out!

Some people like the film while others don't, it's part of life as with the name who cares.

What the hell is purport? Who gives a shit what his name is you fucking idiot. I know he's Deadpool jackass. You have to get all butt hurt on what I said his name was? Do you not have anything else better to do then to criticize people on how big fans they are? Get a fucking life loser.

Why did they continue to call Reynolds, Wade instead of Deadpool, in the beginning? It wasn't until he was turned into Weapon XI when they started to call him Deadpool.

May 5th, 2009 2:58pm
Why would you call him Wade? Yeah, it's his civilian name, but that's not his real name. Deadpool is who he is. If you were as big a fan as you purport to be you would know that.

You got really worked up over that. Methinks I struck a nerve? That's okay, just go buy some little debbies to make it better. And learn to spell.

Even though i didn't like Wolverine, i'm really looking forward to the sequel. Hopefully, they'll get it right.

No fucking shit asshole. Way to be a fucking prick Comrade. Why do you think I said they jacked him up. I do know the charcters, and I have read the comics. To bad that's his actual name dumbass. It was two different actors playing the same person. I said that because he should have had more screen time. Maybe next time think before you write something, so you don't sound like such a douche bag. Have a nice day!

wolverine did well and that would give them credit for all the effort.i just hope they would make a much better sequel.congratulations marvel, fox, hugh and all the cast.

nathan lease, his name is Deadpool (way to show off your n00b-ery). And that thing at the end wasn't actually him, as one of the alternate endings imply.

To Newkill; it sounds extreme, but its a slippery slope.

Marcus, they're still not sure what to do with the Hulk, but the director is more interested in just using the Hulk in the Avengers than making it into a sequel. So, i doubt you'll see a Hulk 2, but it's a great chance you'll see the Hulk as a menace in the Avengers.

May 5th, 2009 6:54am
yeah......question about Marvel movies: Are they going to make The incredible Hulk 2? And will Hulk be in The Avengers?............There is all mixed up crap about this...so,does anybody know anything about it?

They totally fucked up Wade!

I hope you three alternate endings instead of theatrical versions. There's no way studios would put out all that money. It'll be years before they get all there money back. So, seriously doubt that would ever happen. If this movie sets any precedents, it's to be more careful protecting your films from being leaked, but i, truly, doubt they'll go to the extents of releasing multiple films in different theaters.

Newkill got it right for once. Except, after fox got so much negative feedback about the way they handled Deadpool (after the leaked version but before the theatrical release) they slapped on a couple alternate endings to see which one tested best, which is 8 kinds of fucked up. You choose a direction, and if it's shitty, you live with it. They're setting a bad precedent, pretty soon we'll be seeing three alternate theatrical versions of a film released and fuckall if you know which one you're going into. You make one film, and you sell that film. More evidence that Fox=Cocksuckers.

No, CB, don't rent or buy this shit at all. It'll be better to just wait until it pops up on cable or makes a world television premiere. Ryan Reynolds wasn't bad, but they absolutely destroyed everything i loved about that character, which i knew they were going to do.

May 4th, 2009 5:05pm
Well, after reading these comments, I will surely wait until the Blu-ray release to see it. I knew it was going to suck, anyway.
And another thing, was Ryan Reynolds bad as Deadpool, or was he good, just the character was handled badly?

Definitely. Star Trek shouldn't disappoint.

I wash my hands of this case with Woverine...I can't talk about it. I said before that I'm just too subjective about this theme. (And there is no fucking way that I was comparing this movie with TDK, read again, Agent VIS! I was just giving example of floads in excelent movie to say that it's still execelent! And in Wolverine defense with all floads it's still a good movie becouse of it's better side. But there is no question about how TDK is masterpiece in front of Wolverine.) I tried to defend this movie...but I was too subjective and probably still blind becouse I'm the huuuuuge fan of the character. THE END

At least my theater had the what I expect is the best of the alternate endings, where Wade Wilson is actually still alive, and that piece of shit at the end totally wasn't him.

May 4th, 2009 12:20pm
I can sit through a movie. What I take issue with is miring through shit. Paying ten bucks for it no less. Which I didn't (god bless theater loopholes).
