Jon Favreau gave new hopes to fans of Marvel's
Ant-Man that the shrinking hero will be a part of
The Avengers, even though Edgar Wright's take on the character hasn't even been put on Marvel's official schedule yet. Favreau told
USA Today that while the line-up of the Avengers has changed throughout the years of the comic "the ones Marvel is talking about now are Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and Iron Man. I would love to see that."
Favreau had previously indicated that Marvel planned to do the solo films for each hero before teaming them up for
The Avengers, but with Edgar Wright busy with ScottPilgrim, the script for
Ant-Man may not even be ready until mid-2009.
Does this mean that
Ant-Man may proceed without Wright? Or maybe Marvel is willing to let the character appear in
The Avengers before getting his own movie. Keep reading MovieWeb and SuperheroFlix for more information as it becomes available.

Most know Ultron is the robot created by Dr. Henry "Hank",based on Pym's own brain patterns, and was intended to serve Pym in his super heroic identity of Goliath. Ultron became sapient and rebelled, seeming to instantly demonstrate an Oedipus Complex (as noted by the Black Panther), where he felt irrational hatred for his "father" Hank.
