Tonight, we're going to the Mission: Tiki Drive-in to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End the way it was meant to be seen. Not amongst a bunch of critics or bored audience members. But in the backseat of a car, where we can drench ourselves in Rum and do mischievous Pirate things during all that the on-screen downtime. It should be fun.

So far, the film has made a combined total of $55.8 million dollars. Not a bad little snatch and grab for the first part of this Memorial Day weekend. According to Showbizdata.com, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End made a hefty $17 million just off its Thursday pre-screenings alone.

We still have tonight, tomorrow, and Monday before the entire treasure chest full of gold is counted to the last shiny coin. Check back soon to see how badly Captain Jack Sparrow beat down on Spidey and Shrek.

  • Alright everybody, here's the deal. POTC3 IS better then Spider-man 3 by a long shot. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. The bitching and moaning about this movie going in too many different directions is simply the result of people's dwarfed attention spans and mental capacities, which are justly attributed to the excessive use of text messaging, IPods, and their ilk. As far as box office records go, leave numbers to the bean counters. Movie performance cannot and will not be realiably portrayed in cold calculations, but rather by the passion of the living, still beating heart!
