On Friday, President Nina Tassler said that "Jericho" will not be returning for a third season.

"The March 25th episode of Jericho will be the series finale," said Tassler.

She added: "Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more. We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high quality second season. We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We're proud of everyone's efforts."

Man, just another disappointing TV series outcome. This show was absolutely the best well written, directed, and acted program on TV. Portraying the current US administration to a T. Where else can we get the truth about how our government is railroading oblivious John Q.? I hope the people in this country wake up before "nuke" day really does come knocking at our door. Great show. Sorry to hear about its demise.

I guess plain old peanuts didn't have the shock value necassary to keep the old post-apocalyptic ferver alive. Well, its time to start mailing CBS executives shit in a box. Human shit. My shit to start. I'll begin with a handful of planters-P's and some almonds, pinch that beefy chud off in a nice air-tight container (I realy want them to experience the ambrosia), put a bow on it, and send it via UPS. Nothing but Brown for this job. I'm canceling my cable.

Sad news!!! Jericho was probably just a little too deep and imaginative for the typical simple minded television watcher, who tends to go more for the mindless action shows or brainless primetime soap operas (i.e. Grey's Anatomy).

Let's see the actual numbers. I simply don't believe a series this well written, produced and acted can do so poorly against its competitors. The network really wants this series canceled so that it can air some idiotic reality show. Sure it's much cheaper to put this kind of crap on the air but believe me, I'll be watching even less of the commercial networks programming after Jericho is gone than I am now. Long live cable programming and to hell with the commercial networks!
