That's all too true, Serious_Joker. This is shown in the movie Jumper, which we all know was definitely not the greatest.

Bay, Please, Please don't go over board with the "CGI" and forget your telling a story. The story makes the movie not the special effects!

I hope you're right Oli. I hope you're right.

Let's not have another sucky rushed sequel, like Tomb Raider 2, or Pirates 2, or Mummy 2 (shudder). That's all I'm saying.

Psycho, who ever said anything about rated r? But everyone else is right, we shouldn't be comparing the two...but i'm still sayin watchmen will be better ;)

Why are we even comparing WM with TF2? We might as well compare Astroboy with G.I.Joe while we're at it :)

I'm rooting for TF2, but I'm still holding my breath. I have yet to be impressed by a sequel that's been produced with only two years between their release dates...with the exception of LOTR, but that was filmed all at once anyway.

The first one exceeded my expectations, which were already high to begin with. This new one's going to be great, I've got no doubt about that!!!!!

This will best of 09 along with Watchmen but this more. I love Watchmen and can't wait till it comes out but this is going to awesome and who cares if Watchmen is a critically acclaimed film. The point is this will be better. Just cause it ain't Rated R does not mean this movie will suck.

Bad

Ass.

and for all you "which will be better?" idiots, I'm hoping the Watchmen will be cerebral, adult and intelligent.

I think Transformers 2 will be just the opposite and there is NOTHING wrong with that.

I take it you haven't read the novel, bragg. Let's look at the facts and compare the two movies:

1) Zack snyder(watchmen) and michael bay(TF2)-Snyder has made a name for himself by recreating original stories with his own unique touch while still staying very close to the original source. He did it with dawn, he did it with 300, and now he's doing it with watchmen. Michael bay, while one of my favs, has only made a name for himself creating special effects blowouts. When ya get down to it, snyder's watchmen will be a better FILM because it will have meaning, while Bay's will be about action, making it a summer pop-corn flick

2) Watchmen is based on the most acclaimned graphic novel of all time. TF2 is based on a toy and cartoon line. While TF prob. has a larger fan base and will most assuredly make more money, that doesn't mean it'll be better. If you've read the novel, you'd know that Watchmen will be a way better FILM(see how i keep capitalizing that?)

In the end, Watchmen will have more sympathetic value. Sure, it might not be a box office smash, but it will be a hit with critics. TF2 might even get praise for being better than the first, but all in all, TF2 will be an action movie, not a critically acclaimed film

Transformers will be a better pop corn flick with it's action sequences and summer realease, but when ya get down to the FILM aspect of it, watchmen will blow it out of the water...but whatever, both will be good ha

I have to disagree with you Agent. I think Transformers will the best of 09... and yeah also Watchmen.
