John Adams, Slumdog, and 30 Rock owned all with at least three globes each. I was hoping Benjamin Button would take home a few. We'll thats what the oscars are for.

So you admit he was the best contender, therefore his win was justified.
So to use your ignorant saying, or as you'd like to think 'punch line:'
"Nough Said..."

they just stuck some losers in their to make him an easy winner. heath deserves only one thing eternity in hell. nough said.

Tom Cruise got the last words of the night...

Killerman? You can say Heath only won because he died, but honestly looking at the other nominees, it is apparent he was the most deserving.

The only thing interesting that came out of that snoozefest was John Adams winning 4 awards.

i was so impressed by the results
and i'm very glad Wall-E, True Blood and Heath Ledger won their own awards!
i didn't expect Slumdog Millionaire to win a bunch but hooray

Absolutely agreed Haderach!

Slumdog Millionaire was a good choice by the HFPA. Danny Boyle has been cranking out interesting movies after intersting movie, full of brilliant visuals and basically brilliant filmmaking and it's about time he got the recognition he deserves. It was good to see Ledger's performance win, too. And way to go for Kate Winslet. She's been snubbed for years and she finally got what she deserved!

This year's Golden Globes sucked. Robert Downey Jr. should have won that award over Heath. Bullshit.

Im gonna have to disagree, Health's performance in the Dark Knight was awesome, just because he died has nothing to do with him winning the award, his performance is the reason for the award. bunch of idiots. Killerman you wouldnt know good film making if it punch you in the face.

rock on Danny Boyd and Slumdog Millionarie great film by a great director.

Killerman, shut up! He deserved that award more than anybody! If he were alive, he'd still win it and he deserves to win oscars too!!! Passed on or not, he deserves it!

Oh, he deserved it? Why? Because he accidentally killed himself? Wow, then i guess they better start making awards for a lot more dead celebrities then. A word from the wise: Just because a movie wins an award doesn't mean you should go see it. I saw that Titanic won for best picture and went to go see it, as a result. I hated that piece of trash.

wow slumdog took alot, need to c that i guess, i'm proud for heath, he did deserve it, but much more prouder for rourke,

January 12th, 2009 6:38am
Sabassi, i absolutely agree with you. If Ledger wasn't dead, he would not have won this. And the ones he were up against seemed like they were just thrown in there to give him a better chance. If this happens in the Oscars, i will never watch an award show again.

Congratulations to all the winners, except for that ungrateful Tina Fey. You can, as you said in your acceptance speech, "suck it".

Rourke gave an amazing performance in The Wrestler, a well deserved award. I'm very happy Heath won as well.

Glad to see some new people win in a few categories that have been won by the same people and/or show the past couple years.

January 12th, 2009 2:49am
my opinion is that Ledger won the oscar by default...not these impressing noms..

and of course his death got to do something with it

No real big surprises here. Everyone's been pimping Slumdog this awards season, even though I think The Wrestler is the best of the year. Oh well. Let's see what the Oscar noms shall bring next week!

January 12th, 2009 12:23am
Hell yeah! Ledger deserves that award 10 fold. Definately the best performance out of all the nominees.
