Is the Game the Front-Runner for The A-Team's B.A. Baracus?

Source:  BlackFilm
the Game may play B.A. BaracusBlackFilm has revealed that rapper/actor The Game is one of the leading candidates to play B.A. Baracus in The A-Team.

It was previously reported that rapper Common was in the running for the B.A. Baracus role, which was played by Mr. T in the popular 1980s TV series, but it seems his recent casting alongside Queen Latifah in Just Right might prevent him from taking on the role.

It was said that the film was to go before cameras in August, for a June 11, 2010 release date. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any and all news regarding this upcoming remake as soon as we have more information.

and for anyone who thinks that the Game might be good... go watch the POS movie called Waist Deep. Dude is a joke and has about as much talent as the fleas on my dead dog.

Game - LMAO, that would be a mistake.

Heres an idea, give it to Derek Luke... the man is an amazing actor and for some reason he gets no recognition. I would love to see him get a main stream role like this so that he could showcase his acting.

the much overrated Bale has the necessary Bad Attitude but character actor he is fuckin not. putting on a generic throaty American accent in every role is hardly creative is it? i've enjoyed some of the movie's he has appeared in despite him, not because of him.
the role of BA doesn't really require a "real" actor anyway. he just needs to be someone with whom you wouldn't want to fuck. ice cube? even i'd kick that midgets arse. let vin deisel have it.

Shut up, psycho, i couldn't really tell if you were being sarcastic or just being an idiot, but still if you were making a point HE IS STILL WHITE, whether or not he can do a better job, HE CANT STILL BE THE ROLE, so just shut up YOU ASS. Anyway he can't act, i was still okay with Common.

wtf , The game is one of the worst rapper turn actor ever right up there with Ja rule , both suck balls acting wise , no skill what so ever. but I do hate when people put all the rapper turn actor in the same basket and says no one of them could becoame a legit actor , fuck you Just look at Method man's acting , and Honnestly i think Ludacriss is a better actor then a rapper

Ive said it in the past , I sure wish a gangbanger would make the game , game over

you know who i would love to see has Ba Baracus : Quinton Rampage Jackson , this ufc fighter has been able to prove is acting chops in a few things now , hes a natural at acting there

What Christian Bale is white......hello. I do think this guy should stay away from A-team, he is a first time actor and probably has the brain of an idiot, hell no. I was fine with Common.

Hey why not cast Christian Bale. I think he would do a better job then these so called "rappers". Bale has played a psycho, batman, a prisoner of war a magician a cop john conner a cowboy, he was gonna play the IDIOT George DUBYA Bush. He also dude that kills dragon and most important of all he played the one and only Jesus Christ. Now tell me if he cant play the part

sick of remakes and sick of hollywood cop-outs in relation to casting. I'm gonna stick to independent and foreign films until they wake the fuck up and create something original.

Whomever they get they will fail in the role because no one can replace Mr. T.

As far as I'm concerned, get Mr. T back. No one else can play Mr. T except for Mr. T.

I mean, think of it this way: what would happen if we made a remake of Delta Force, and replaced Chuck Norris as the lead role from the original?

I'll tell you what would happen, Chuck would kill everyone in Hollywood by throwing an asteroid into it, that's what.

You can't tell me that there isn't a single up and coming black actor out there that could fill this role outside of some stinkin no talent rapper. Just like you can't tell me that Stephen Sommers couldn't find a single actor no matter the color of their skin that was better for the part of Ripcord in GI Joe than freakin' Marlon Wayans.

ugh the game is a terrible actor look at street kings. Yea get that guy from UFC or someone else

Being that Joe Carnahan is directing this, I'm not surprised at this article. Okay I did hear about Rampage taking the role-although I hate UFC. I read that Ice Cube was willing to play B.A. but that's all. I never heard about Common and now the Game.

For one, The Game hasn't been given a prominent role to show if he can act. Street Kings, he had to be in it for about eight minutes altogether. I can see him in the role.

Michael Clarke Duncan, I don't think can pull it off, I like the actor but it doesn't suit him. For Ving Rhames it would be typical. If you've seen Undisputed, then you have an idea. With the '...of the Dead' films Rhames done, it would be typical.

LL Cool J is a no.

If it came down to it, I'd choose between The Game or Michael Jai White (White played Spawn in the 1997 movie). Michael Jai White also appeared as Gambol in The Dark Knight.

That's what I have to say.

If someone like Tom Cruise tried to rap, who the hell thinks ANYONE would take him seriously? The same goes for rappers TRYING to act.

Ok, does anyone hear watch UFC? Because Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was rumored for the role about a year ago and then they just quit talking about him. He'd be perfect. He acts pretty much just like Mr.T in real life. See for yourself...

watch an interview of him as well if you're not convinced...

Are these the only black guys, who are rappers that have something going? what about Ving,Micheal Clarke or even Ice Cube, infact he is one of the only rapper actors i rate or u know what, how about L.L. Cool J,now this guy is someone with a track record

seen this guy's acting,it fucking sucks. Getting him up for this role would be an insult to Mr T. Better for him to keep his shit with music and not movies.

I stay away from movies that feature rappers actors. Thats just a poor attempt to modernize the movie so it could appeal to squares and plasics a.k.a hip hoppers

How about someone who can ACT?
  (Delete)
July 1st, 2009 11:47pm
ok i haven't seen him act in anything, while he looks good enough to fit the part, if he can't act then i don't want him anywhere near the A-team. i'd prefer Common cuz i know Common can act. how come it is only rappers/actors that seem to be up for this role?
