Billy Bob Thornton Joins the Cast of Eagle Eye

Billy Bob Thornton has joined the cast of the DreamWorks' Shia LaBeouf starrer Eagle Eye

Michelle Monaghan and Rosario Dawson have already signed on to the D.J. Caruso-directed thriller.

Written by Daniel McDermott, the story revolves around a slacker (LaBeouf) and a single mother (Monaghan) who are framed as terrorists and forced to become members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination. Hillary Seitz wrote the most recent draft.

Thornton will play a patriotic government employee who leads a homeland security team that tracks down the fugitives. Caruso created the role for the actor.
