If it is Godzilla it would have to be the one from the 1998 film by directed by Roland Emmerich and starred Matthew Broderick. Toho won't release the rights to the other Godzilla movies or characters in those movies.
Looks like a combo documentary meets horror film. It looks interesting, but at the same time it looks really silly, like a direct to DVD movie placed onto the big screen. With all the hype I hope it's not a let down like "The Blair Witch Project" which turned out to be a waste of time space! But it did have 1 hell of a marketing campaign!!
So I went back and took a look at the movie Godzilla. According to the clips here. The creature attacks at night. Godzilla shows up in the day time. The city is evacuated in the movie by the time night hits. Here it appears like there is still a lot of people in the city yet everywhere Godzilla came out in the movie they showed milatary personal and there were no civilians.
Of course the last seen on the clip with the bridge falling looked very similar to the ending of the Godzilla movie when they trap him on the bridge.
UP YOURS JJ!
