Watch the Whiteout Promo Right Now!

Source:  Warner Bros.
The promo video for Whiteout that was first shown at the 2007 Comic-Con has finally hit the web. While this isn't the official trailer for the graphic novel adaptation but you can take a look at the promo video below. Whiteout will open in theaters September 11th, 2009.

After two years stationed at Antarctica's South Pole research base, lone U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckinsale) is as anxious as anyone to be going home. She's turned in her resignation and is counting the hours and minutes to the last plane out. But three days before departure, a body turns up on the ice and Carrie is immediately thrust into Antarctica's first murder investigation. As the death toll mounts, the mystery deepens with shifting loyalties, deadly whiteouts, and a relentless killer who will stop at nothing to protect a secret buried for over sixty years. Now with everyone around her packing up and getting out, Carrie must solve the crime before Antarctica is plunged into six months of darkness and she is stranded with the killer on a land where nothing comes in and no one gets out.

I'm with Chad_Vital on this one. The trailer kicked ass, and like NewKill200, I'll see anything with Kate Beckinsale in it.

For some reason, I thought this came out last year.
And the National Geographic narrator from the 80s did nothing for me.

Im not seeing anything set in Antarctica because the entire time all I'll be saying is "John Carpenter's The Thing. John Carpenter's The Thing. John Carpenter's The Thing."

And I'm not putting myself through that.

looks pretty good...could use more info though...hopefully a better trailer is in the future...had to be a tough film to make in those conditions...but I agree with P.A.C.K.'75---it does resemble 30 Days of Night and The Thing, which were both good movies

Looking forward to it, seems like it has taken forever for this film to be released. It also stars Alex O'Loughlin and I hope he has a good amount of screen time.

The part that made me LOL, was when the guy said, "this isn't just murder, this is the first murder in Antarctica

Well I read the books be Rucka & Lieber and it was a good series. I gotta say though the trailer doesn't really get me excited for the movie. Maybe the next one will focus more on Stetko and the murder mystery? This was more a cross between "The Thing" & "30 Days of Night".

Punisher, it's being realistic as much as possible. Just the shit this guy says makes me not to ever want to go there haha. THEN AFTER all of those FACTS, he drops a even more shittier ordeal on us lol. As if those things weren't bad enough. Get it? Makes sense to me. The trailer did it's job.

I like it. The trailer got me hooked with all that info lol then I was like "wait this is Dark Castle productions" so that means it will have some type of supernatural or horror element to it.

Is this a documentary on Antarctica or a murder mystery? It says almost nothing about the actual movie, just where its set. Dumb trailer, I wanna see this, but dumb trailer.

Trailer doesn't really do it for me, but I still sort of await this. On my to see list, just not a must.
