The Dark Knight didn't have a case of the Monday's as it set yet another box office record yesterday. According to
Variety,
The Dark Knight earned $6.3 million on Monday to bring its total to $400.1 million, breaking the record for the fastest film to reach $400 million domestic.
The $400 million milestone was set in just 18 days, shattering the previous record held by
Shrek 2, which needed 43 days to cross that box office landmark.
After just three weeks in release,
The Dark Knight stands a good chance at breaking the $500 million barrier that only
Titanic has crossed, and there is a chance it could break that film's all-time domestic box office record of $600.8 million.

and secondly I totally agree that Titanic did so good was because it was a good date movie.... seriusly please, BEAT AND SINK TITANIC!
I am so sick of still hearing that movie still being nr.1 when it comes to pulling in so much money!
Atleast James Cameron is still happy for his suxces
I thought that didn't seem right. Thanks for that clarification. Well, if it makes at least 15 million a week for another 3 months...it could happen.
I remember when Titanic made a steady 10 million a week for almost half a year...let's hope Dark Knight can knock that off.
I guess I better go see the bat a couple more times to help push it along.
I hope that The Dark Knight takes the title away from Titanic.
