EXCLUSIVE: Ray Stevenson to Direct Punisher 3?

Punisher 3Punisher: War Zone is an amazing movie to behold. Its as violent as last January's Rambo and possibly the funniest comic book adaptation to hit the screen in sometime. It's sure to be a cult hit, and serves as an awesome ode to 80s action extravaganzas. It's such an excellent film; it's going to be hard to top it with a sequel. While chatting with director Lexi Alexander yesterday, we asked her how she was planning to out do herself and if a Punisher: War Zone 2 was on the way.

In no short order, she explained that she wasn't intent on coming back for a sequel, and if a third film does happens, she won't be attached. Then she told us that she wants Ray Stevenson, the man that plays Frank Castle in Punisher: War Zone, to come back and direct a third film. She says that he is very open to it, and that is the direction she is pushing the franchise. She doesn't believe that anybody else but him will be able to make a film that is on par with what is coming to theaters this Friday.

Blown off limbs appear through the dense fumes, having been thrown by Punisher. One limb drops between a Columbian legs. Entrails from the Columbian spews the criminals, as the torso down of the Columbian explodes into burning flesh. Punisher steps into the entrance. Carrying cane knives, he heaves them at the criminals, as blood gushes from their slit necks. "Fuck you asshole." El Scorpio acclaims. His head explode into blood and gore, from a shotgun blast, spewing the criminals.

An explosion erupts, as the slaughterhouse battered door bursts open. Dense fumes spews the air. "Oh shit." El Scorpio acclaims "Its the fuckin Motherfucker." Cocking their guns, the criminals in the house pull out their guns. Gangbangers with uzi sub-machine guns, Columbian drug lords with August Steyr Aug machine guns, Jamaicans Voodoo Poses drug lords with gold Ak-47s and Uzi sub-machine guns, and mafiosos with handguns and Ak-47s. Screaming in agony, the thug shout, "Fuck, fuck. . . fuck you-you fucker, fucker- Motherfucker." The upper body then explodes into burning flesh. Punisher walks over to the grisly remains of the thugs. He step on the blown off legs, crushing them, as blood squirts out.
El Scorpio steps under a slaughtered cattle hanging on a rack. A gangbanger cuts the cattle in half, as the entrails and powder that is drugs spews El Scorpio. "Fuck yeah." he acclaims.

"Lets get the fuck out of here." one of the remaining thugs acclaims. Before he could get away, body explodes into burning flesh, as blood spews the remaining 2 thugs. One of the remaining thug upper body then explodes into burning flesh, as blood and his entrails spew the last thug. "Holy fuck." the thug acclaims. His upper body falls to the ground, as the legs explode into burning flesh. Blood and entrails begin flowing out of the thugs body.

Carrying a RPG, Frank Castle aims the RPG at another thug. "Shit, its fuckin Punisher." a thug acclaims. The thug's body then explodes into burning flesh as his entrails spew the remaining thugs. "You fucker. Motherfucker." one of the thug shouts, as he hastens out into the streets, swinging his axe. The thugs body explodes into in burning flesh, as blood and entrails spews a passing by car windshield. "Holy shit." the vehicle driver acclaims. What the fuck?"

The thugs walk up to a old man covered in blankets to keep warm. "Hey you fuckin shitbag." one of the thugs acclaims to the old man. Laughing, the thugs begin swinging their axes and machettes, as chunks of flesh from the old man spew the thugs. Blood and entrails from one of thugs spew the other 5 thugs, as from the waist to head of the thug explodes to burning pieces of flesh in the air. "Holy SHIT." the other thugs acclaims, as they look Frank Castle in the streets.

Laughing, Gold Tooth snorts cocaine. A Columbian drug lord, Ramon Vega, tells Gold Tooth, as he is smoking maraijanna, "Fuck you man, fuck you, you Fucker." Outside the house, 6 thugs walking side by side, carry axes, machettes, and uzi submachine guns.

I still have yet to see Punisher 2, so I can't say if a part 3 is a good idea, much less have HIM direct it. Personally, based off what I know, which is nothing, I so think a Punisher 3 is a good idea, just as long as Stevenson doesn't direct it.

isn't this movie another reboot? why they're saying a "third film"
by the way, given the review on this site and more importantly the reason that it's so great have confirmed all the bad expectations i had.
Thomas Jane i guess will be the only Punisher worthy. No wonder why he didn't came back, i think he saw a movie like this was too silly and cheesy for the character
