24 to Shoot in Washington, D.C.

Source:  Variety
Fox's popular dramatic action series 24, starring Keifer Sutherland, is shooting outside of California for the first time ever this week. According to Variety, the production team will be moving to Washington, D.C. for some upcoming scenes that are crucial to this season's plot.

Scenes for eight different episodes will be shot over the course of the next two weekends. The show's executive producer Howard Gordon stated, "The idea is to sell Washington in the first batch of episodes and, hopefully, people will have bought into the setting later on." Gordon hopes to get a D.C. politician or two for a cameo.

Line Producer Michael Klick stated, "We're being forced to go to places we've never gone before, like downtown L.A., and we've been looking at older architecture. There have been some exciting visual opportunities."

The seventh season is set to debut this January on Fox.

I can't wait to see...yea, I know it's hard to recreate success...but I think they've done a good job so far changing things around. At least their pace hasn't died...

I use to like the show, except I soon realized that ever season has the same plot line, the just move characters around in hopes no one will notice. For 6 years theyve been throwing Jack Bauer under a bus. He needs to come back as the Terrorist, take the show for a total 180. Then I may continue to watch the show.
