Cartoon Network's Adult Swim Orders The Boondocks Season 2

Source:  Variety
Movie PictureAccording to Variety, Cartoon Network's Adult Swim has greenlit production on a second season of The Boondocks.

Cabler has ordered 20 new episodes of the skein from creator Aaron McGruder based on his comicstrip of the same name.

The show's November 6th debut was the highest-ranked series premiere in Adult Swim history.

The cartoon revolves around 10-year-old revolutionary Huey, his 8-year-old brother and their legal guardian and grandfather in the suburbs.

Ten episodes of the initial 15-episode order have already aired, and the new episodes are scheduled to air late this year.

Adult Swim shares channel space with Cartoon Network and airs Saturday-Thursday from 11 p.m.-6 a.m. ET.
