McG to Direct Wonder Woman?

Source:  IESB.net
It seems the Wonder Woman news just doesn't stop coming in these days. According to IESB.net, it seems that McG has been one of the names mentioned to directWonder Woman.

The site went on to say that it wasn't clear what McG's involvement is at this point, whether he's just a name being mentioned by the studios or if he's lobbying for the job.

It was reported yesterday that Beyonce was interested in portraying the DC Comics superheroine. McG is currently directing WB's Terminator Salvation.

We'll keep you posted on this new development as soon as more information arises.

Bush was also considered for the role when Whedon was on board. He even said Kate Beckinsale at one time. Baccarin isn't the only one.

If WonderWoman isn't done right, it's going to end up like Halle Berry's dumb-ass Catwoman. The only thing WonderWoman has got going for her is she is a foxy ass lady so all I'm sayin' is at least we need to see some camel toe! Know 'um sayin', yall?

Baccarin has been asked if she's up for the role of "Wonder Woman" ever since it was announced that Joss Whedon was involved with the film. Baccarin said, "I feel bad for Joss because I'm sure he's getting bombarded with questions about it. I mean, I'm not going to say no to a superhero but it's not up to me."

Yeah, exactly. I think she would be the best casting choice.

Morena was great in Firefly and Serenity. I can see her playing WW.

Morena Baccarin

She bears a striking resemblence to Linda Carter and she displays some awesome martial art skillz. Joss Whedon considered her as "perfect for the role." She looks like WW, just an olive-skinned beauty.

In brief its interesting this film has been stuck in development hell for ages, so the anticipation will be at all time high, but weather they can live to it will be interesting to see.

In brief, no bloody Beyonce as WW

I say either Jessica Biel or Megan Fox would make a good WW, but that's top of the head thinking.

Gotta wait and see how Terminator Salvation turns out.. Not a big fan of McG, so i'll have to wait and see his latest work before I judge. As far as Beyonce goes, i'm not worried about it because it will never happen. Never! None of that never say never shit, I have no problem saying it. DC Comics will NEVER let it happen. However, I don't completely agree that WW has to be played by an american actress. As long as she looks american, and doesn't have an accent I could care less where she's from. I personally would like to see Colbie Smulders portray her. But then again, i'm in love with her so maybe its just a fantasy of mine.

No, No, No NO NOOO! I will have to kill someone if they make Beyonce Wonder Woman. Um, HELLO, WW was extremely white! How about someone who maybe looks a little bit like Linda Carter?

You wouldn't be able to tell she was mexican by looking at her. She's the whitest mexican ever. However, you don't look at byonce and say "hey, there's a white chick"

Before anyone comments about me stating Carter is Mexican:

Carter was born Linda Jean Córdova Carter in Phoenix, Arizona. Her father, Colby Carter is an Irish American, and her mother, Juana Córdova, is of Mexican and Spanish ancestry.

I keep reading responses/comments about how Wonder Woman should be played by a White actress because the character is a Greek Goddess. I hope you all know that Linda Carter is Mexican. If some director wants to make Wonder Woman a Black female for an updated version I wouldn't mind. Just as long as he gets the right actress to play her and the script doesn't suck. Just PLEASE not Beyonce!

I actually think that Beyonce's a good actress, but she's not the warrior princess at all, and not only because she's not the right color. I want a few people to play Wonder Woman, but Kate B is on top of that list, and NOT just because she's my favorite actress, though that tends to help things. I hope the fucking hurry up with this movie, and make it RIGHT!!!!!

He could do a good job with this, I'm waiting to see Terminator first. Beyonce sucks as an actress, no way she'll play Wonder Woman.

i think wonder woman should be played by sarah jessica parker and it should be directed by steve miner or uwe boll. i mean, if youre gonna make a shitty movie, then take it all the way and make it as shitty as you can.

Making Kingpin black was a good idea. Duncan's a great actor and I don't think there's too many fat white guys that you could have taken seriously, cuz most of them are comedians lol

And making Nick Fury black was a good idea because it was in the ultimate universe, i.e. separate from the regular Marvel U. SO, they're mixing ultimate with regular in the avengers movie, which is fine

And just to clear things up, people DID say that beyonce is a terrible actress, not just that she's black. Read comments before you post a stupid one of your own

First of all, people DID argue when Michael Clark Duncan played Kingpin. He did okay, but Daredevil was a shitty movie, and it wasn't kingpin in his pure form.
NIck Fury has been depicted as a black character in the Ultimate universe, so they really weren't changing anything there dillhole.

Third, Diana is related to the Greek people, her continent is incredibly Grecian in style, and Beyonce is an awful fucking actress. If they could get a powerful and talented black woman to play WW, I'd be fine, but Beyonce is too much of a pretty girl.

Megan Fox has some of the right vibe going on, but she's not quite Wonder Woman

Parker Posey would be fun too see, so would Teresa Palmer or Priyanka Chopra. But with McG it will probably be some flavor-of-the month actress.

I'm tired of people hating on Beyonce playing Wonder Woman because she's black. No one argues with Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Clark Duncan for playing roles that were originally white. Now, if we are to say Beyonce' was a TERRIBLE actress (which she is) then there is no arguement. Beyonce' shouldn't play Wonder Woman because her acting is the stuff nightmares are made of.

Maybe Beyonce misinterpreted when they say they're making a dark Wonder Woman movie. The movie being dark and evil not dark in skin.
