Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl have signed up to star as lead characters in
the Ugly Truth. According to
Variety, the romantic comedy will reunite director Robert Luketic with screenwriter's Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, who previously worked together on
Legally Blonde.
the Ugly Truth is the story of a romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an unexpected result.
the Ugly Truth is scheduled to start filming in April.
