CBS's The Class and How I Met Your Mother Switch Time Periods

CBS's freshman comedy The Class and sophomore comedy How I Met Your Mother are switching time periods, effective Monday, Oct. 9.

The Class will move to Monday (8:30-9:00 PM) from its current 8:00 time period, while How I Met Your Mother will now lead off CBS's Monday comedy block (8:00-8:30 PM).

Through its first three broadcasts, The Class is averaging 8.95 million viewers, 3.1/09 in adults 18-49 and 3.9/10 in adults 25-54.

How I Met Your Mother has built on The Class lead-in by +16% in adults 18-49 (3.6/09), +13% in adults 25-54 (4.4/10) and by 700,000 viewers (9.65m).

The Class, about the lives of a group of 20-somethings who are inextricably bound together having shared the same third grade class, stars Andrea Anders (Joey), Jon Bernthal (World Trade Center), Lizzy Caplan (Mean Girls), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Heather Goldenhersh (The Merchant of Venice), Sean Maguire (Eve), Lucy Punch (Being Julia), Jason Ritter (Joan of Arcadia), Julie Halston (Sex and the City), Sam Harris (The Producers) and David Keith (An Officer and a Gentleman).

Emmy Award winner David Crane (Friends), Emmy Award nominee Jeffrey Klarik (Mad About You) and 10-time Emmy Award winner James Burrows (Will & Grace) are executive producers for craneklarik productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

How I Met Your Mother, a comedy about Ted and how he fell in love, all with the help of his friends as they try to navigate life, love and becoming adults in New York City, stars Josh Radnor, Jason Segal, Alyson Hannigan, Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders. Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, Greg Malins and Pamela Fryman are executive producers for Twentieth Century Fox Television.
