Jessica Biel Up for Thor Role?

Source:  Nuke The Fridge
Jessica Biel in talks to join ThorCould a new superhero flick be getting a lovely female addition? According to Nuke the Fridge, actress Jessica Biel has been in talks to join the cast of Thor.

The site is reporting that, if cast, Biel would play the title character's love interest. The site's source didn't know the character's name, the source said they believed it was a female character that appeared in the Hulk Vs. Thor animated DVD. Possible female candidates that appeared in that DVD are Amora The Enchatress or Sif.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any new details that emerge from this new casting story as soon as we have more information.

... oh and the concept of a "Thor" movie? PFFFFT! Who gives a shit?

The only thing that outshines Jessica Biel's spunk is her total incapacity for convincing performances (well except for rolling around the pole in Powder Blue, which I thought was ok apart from her acting).
Her physical performances are great but her dialogue delivery is just hideous and some serious acting lessons (and life lessons) are definitely in order. You can't get better at anything without some experience, good and bad.
Having said that, she's just gorgeous and would be a great call to be in a film of this type. I mean, if the rest of the super-hero, robots and alien dribble that's being served up to us (Batman Begins not included) is any indication, then what does it really matter. There's nothing of substance going on anyway.

Yeah, Powder Blue sucked (except for Biel writhing in a thong) as a whole...even with Ray Liotta and Forest Whitaker in it, that's why it released in a handful of theatres, then went to dvd the next month.

Jessica Biel's acting is here and there...however, she can play action type girl well (Blade:Trinity) and sexy (Chuck and Larry, Texas Chainsaw)...that's all that is required...most movies may try to reach for The Dark Knight benchmark/gravitas, which is commendable, but, not necessary to be a good popcorn movie like Iron Man.

As for Megan Fox...she should be Wonder Woman...if they ever get that project going again (Biel was up for that too.)

Touche, Chad.
Case-in-point: Megan Fox...

As much as I like sexual things comic book guy, the ACTING in any comic book movies needs to set a standard, having mediocre actors or actresses in the role just because they are fit is simply retarded. I care about the dialogue. I am not watching Thor to see her, at all. I'm watching Thor because it's Thor. I don't even care if they put a main female role in the film, cause it's not important. Personally, I think it's a distraction if anything. Take Spiderman for example, even though MJ is a major character, think of how much better a 4th movie would be WITHOUT her taking up screen time. We want more hero, less cliche' fake love romances.

Who the hell cares if she can act? Wrap her in tight black leather and let her dance around the clouds of Asgard getting wet and dirty for 2 hours and I'm there... LOL!

ROFL!!! LOL!!! Sorry I still don't think Jessica Biel can act! She needs to take acting lessons!

I saw her in 1 film I rented last week called: "Powder Blue" ...her acting needed work!

after iron man and TIH i have complete faith in Marvel's casting.

not a biel fan... maybe it is the roles she's offered, but she seems to be very one-dimensional. who knows, maybe she'd do okay in a blockbuster though. i'd prefer portman any day, but we'll see...

Wow; there's definitely a striking resemblance. Like you said: perfect...

Beil would make a good Enchantress and Portman would make a good Sif...actually, that's perfect. Go with that, Marvel.

Sif(Portman):

Good addition to the cast. That is if both Biel and Portman are in the movie.

If it is true that they replaced Portman with Biel, they made a mistake.Portman is a much better actress than Biel.Last time i saw Biel doing any acting worth of recognition was in 7th Hvn.

oh and good point Bane5000, maybe they r both in it. in that case i would like Portman to play Sif and Biel to play Amora. that would be cool, i could def live with that.

funny thing bout this movie is the supporting cast could turn out to be huge stars while the two leads r relatively unknown.

She was good in The Illusionist, aside from that she hasn't done much serious acting, i mean Chuck and Larry sucked, but she wasn't bad in it. and I only saw bits of Stealth but that looked really bad, and i have no idea if she was any good in it.

She's kinda hot, but she doesn't have the acting chops but then again I don't think that will matter for her role lol.

Hell yeah...Jessica Biel is wayyy Hot...this role sounds like she'll have to be scantily clad...her body is a work of art...

Also time period wise. This will most likely take place in the same time period as Iron Man and TIH. However the story will take place in Asgard the home world of the Norse Gods.

i like wat i see with jessica biel joining the cast

though i dont think shes replacing natalie portmna, u never know, maybe thell both be in the movie playing the female roles, which ones, well have to wait and see

zz: samuel l jackson is playing the ultimate marvel universe version of nick fury, which was in fact modeled after the actor himself, look it up and read more about it my friend

she is too damn hot. luckily i think she could also act the role. she is slowly proving herself as an actual actress so this would prolly help, plus jump start her career again, wut was the last thing she was in?

oh yeah i hope it is Sif, that makes more sense i think, plus isn't Enchantress a bad guy at times or something. i don't see Biel as a bad guy.

Nick Fury?
Not too sound like a complete comic-book-illiterate, but what time period is this set?

Right on. I never get tired of drooling over Jessica Biel.

Nick Fury Zz, Nick Fury.

And who's Samuel Jackson's character in this film...

After a bazillion cast-changes for the title role, I think replacing Portman with Biel is trivial.

The best THOR news for me is that Alexandra Byrne will be the costume designer. She's the best in her business and she's already worked with Branagh in HAMLET and later on she made the best cotumes in the cinematic history in ELIZABETH and ELIZABETH THE GOLDEN AGE for which she won an Oscar last year.

That's a good question, VIS, I forgot that they talked about Portman. I do like Biel, though, so whatever the case it works for me.

What happened to Natalie Portman?

Was she not sexy enough or something?
