Hossein Amini to Pen New Jack Ryan Thriller

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures has tapped Hossein Amini to write the screenplay for a new Jack Ryan movie.

This character, created by writer Tom Clancy, was last seen on screen in 2002's The Sum Of All Fears.

Producing this project will be Mace Neufeld and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura. Initially Sam Raimi was going to handle directing duties but he had to pull out due to other commitments.

This new franchise bolsters Paramount's current lineup which features such properties as Iron Man and Transformers.
