Steven Soderbergh Casts Porn Star in The Girlfriend Experience

Sasha Grey, best known for her work in the porn industry, has just taken the lead role in Steven Soderbergh's upcoming drama The Girlfriend Experience. According to Variety via Adult Daily News, the project will be a part of Soderbergh's six picture deal with multimedia entrepreneur Mark Cuban.

The film will revolve around the life of a high priced call girl. Brian Koppelman and David Levien, responsible for penning Ocean's Thirteen, will write the screenplay. This will be the first film Grey has appeared in outside of the porn realm. It should be noted that the up and coming (no pun intended) actress was the youngest recipient of AVN's Female Performance of the Year Award.

The Girlfriend Experience is currently shooting in the New York City area.
