Columbia is adapting the action-adventure video game
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune into a feature film with Kyle Ward set to write the adaptation, according to
The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows a descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, a treasure hunter named Nate Drake who believes he has learned the whereabouts of El Dorado, the fabled South American golden city, from a cursed golden statue. The search becomes competitive when a rival hunter joins the fray, then is racheted up several notches when creatures -- actually mutated descendants of Spaniards and Nazis -- begin attacking those hoping to learn the treasure's true secrets.
The game, from Sony Computer Entertainment, sold 1 million copies in the first 10 weeks of its release at the end of 2007.
No production date has been set.

I read this in a 360 mag today, noit sure if its new news or old but it was in the current issue , so i'd thought i'd share it.
KrazyKlown, you are crazy if you think Dicaprio will even think twice about taking this role.
Also at Avalanche, i'm not sure on Alone In The Dark, but Street Fighter can be adapted to film very well, if only Hollywood would learn something from the people that do the anime version to Street Fighter
Also i'm pretty interested in hearing your cast list, since you chose them more than a year ago.
But i wonder will this Kyle Ward dude get this project off the ground?
Hell, he even kinda looks like him! :D
Uncharted is gonna be full of awesomeness! they bettter get the casting correct, because i already picked the leading roles 13months ago!
