Having just received a Golden Globe nomination for playing foulmouthed studio executive Les Grossman in
Tropic Thunder, Tom Cruise spoke with
E! Online about possible future incarnations of the character:
"I've talked about doing different videos with the character," Cruise said. "I've started working with Ben [Stiller] on it, and we've kind of talked about different things to do. We were gonna do some in our free time, but we haven't found the free time...yet."
He doesn't rule out a full-length feature film centered on Grossman: "He's a fun character," said Cruise, who will next be seen in the real-life WWII thriller
Valkyrie. "I gotta talk to Ben, but there could be more to do with that guy."

as soon as i saw him i turned to my friend and we both said "i luh da pussy" lol
But... I was just trying to say that the guy is way past having a breakout performance. He's been there and done that. He's a damn good actor who is usually banakable for studios.
As far as Les Grossman is concerned, I'm all for the short vids but I have to agree that I'm unsure about a feature-length film based on the character. He was still a funny character to watch, though.
Len Grossman, is a fucking hilarious character. His scenes were probably my favorite part of that movie, next to Downey's performance. I don't know if the character can support a whole film, but he could definitely be a secondary (or, if we're looking at a buddy comedy about some actors or something) a tertiary character.
It's like when they had Cruise play as austin powers in gold member. It was a nice special guest appearance, nothing more than that. I honestly dont see this character as being able to hold up a feature-length film. The surprising fun factor has worn off. If i saw tom cruise rapping and dancing again, i wouldn't even show as much of a smirk.
