CBS Shortens Its Numb3rs Order
November 4th, 2009
Things don't seem to be adding up in favor of a new season for a long-running CBS procedural. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has shortened its order for Numb3rs from 22 episodes to 16.While the network wouldn't officially say if the series would be canceled or not, the shortened season is not a good sign. The series, now airing its sixth season, has been slipping in the ratings this year, although practically all Friday night shows across the board have seen declining ratings.
CBS does have a few new drama series it plans to debut during midseason, including another police procedural, Flashpoint. We'll be sure to keep you posted on the fate of Numb3rs, which stars Rob Morrow and David Krumholtz, as soon as we have more information.
