Comedian Gary Owen has made a deal to star in Tyler Perry's possible spinoff of House of Payne, in which Owen recurs as Zach, one of the barbers in the barbershop featured in the series, which airs in syndication and on TBS.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Owen's stint on House of Payne stems from a chance meeting with Perry last year on radio's "The Tom Joyner Morning Show."
