Smallville to Continue with a 10th Season?

Source:  Ausiello Files
It seems that the fans of one of the CW Network's longest-running shows might have another season to look forward to. Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files recently spoke with Smallville executive producer Kelly Souders who revealed that they are "pushing" for a 10th season of the popular series.

"We are really, really pushing for season 10," Souders told the site. "We really hope it happens."

While Smallville's ratings have declined since moving to Friday nights this season, it seems that the drop hasn't been as bad as originally perceived, and Souders even thinks the numbers can increase.

"I think the word still isn't out there that we're on Friday nights. So if people keep tuning in and telling their friends about it, I think [a 10th season] is quite likely."

Souders was also asked if fans would ever get to see series star Tom Welling don the iconic Superman costume in the series, which was met with an interesting response.

"We think Smallville from the get-go was about how a young man turns into Superman. And it's really about the journey getting there. I can't make any promises, but if it was ever going to happen, it would be at the very end."

well CBF luckily for me and every other smallville fan we really don't need you to watch to keep it around. the show has a very strong group of loyal fans who still like to indulged their imaginations.

I strongly detest this show, and any medium that ruins comic lore.

It's hard watching SMALLVILLE on Friday nights. I just can't do it. I have been watching this whole season on the computer so far because I'm never home on Friday nights like most teenagers who watch this show. I don't think a 10th season will happen but maybe a TV movie or something to end the show after this season would be cool. I don't know, Just saying.

If there is another season then put him in the suit and be Superman.
Hell it's high time he became the Superfreak.
