The Avengers comic books in her hands. Now,
Los Angeles Times is running a story that Eva may be up for a starring role in the 2011 release.
Is this true? No official word has come out as of yet. Right now it is a fun rumor, with
Flawed Hollywood noting "
The Avengers just happens to be getting made into a movie in 2011, around the time that
Desperate Housewives will be ending."
The
Los Angeles Times speculates that the actress is up for the role of Janet Van Dyne, better known as The Wasp.
The Avengers is set to hit theaters sometime in 2011, so that gives us plenty of time to air this rumor out.

If she can hold the roll up without putting out the worst female superhero on the team performance (a la Jessica Alba), she should be fine. But I thought that Jan Pym more prevalantly had Asian roots. Whatever.
