Rotten Tomatoes, Bay insists that he had to finish the script to ensure that the project developed as scheduled.
Bay said "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that." Shia LaBeouf has signed on to return as lead role Sam Witwicky in Paramount Pictures'

I wonder if the decepticons will come back and re build megatron or if they have gone with a different story.
-From what I heard, Scorponok was going to seek out and find Megatron and revive him with his own spark...not Soundwave.
-Thankfully, the writers want to stay away from the mass-shifting idea (like Soundwave turning into tape deck)...so Soundwave will most-likely be a vehicle of some kind. Like Annoying said...they've pretty much strayed from the original alternate forms anyway (mostly) so I'm not so sure how bad that would be.
-I loved the first film. Sure, it could have been written better, but I thought they did a damn good job. I saw the initial screening at 8:00 PM (CST) on July 2nd, and the theater was filled with people my age (early 30s). It's been a long time since people were cheering and clapping in the theater throughout a movie...and therefore, to me at least...this movie was VERY memorable.
-I agree, Optimus seemed much weaker than Megatron...and I really didn't care for that. Even in the Alan Dean Foster novel Ghosts of Yesterday (which was the prequel to the film) the Decepitcons noted that Optimus was almost unbeatable. Then again, one could argue that Optimus held back because he was in a city of humans, and couldn't really "let it all out" in fear of harming them when fighting Megatron. Case in point was the quick dismantling of Bonecrusher, as well as the defeat of Barricade (which was a cut scene). Of course, this is just subjective...(as they were lesser Decepticons anyway).
-I was upset at first, that Bumblebee was not a VW...and despite what the writers originally stated (straying from the cutesy Bug)...the sponsorship from GM had much to do with that. That said; I'm not so upset now...and the Camaro Bumblebee has grown on me. Besides, who can argue that Ironhide as a GMC Topkick wasn't an excellent idea? I'd rather see him be that, than a red van. Being a Ford fan, it originally turned me off to see all the GMs...but at least Barricade was a baddass Saleen.
Anyway, just some thoughts...
Cheers
I'd love to see a live action Unicron & Dinobots. Megatron will be back, maybe they might bring in Thundercracker,Shockwave,Bruticus or Devastator.
i believe the premise of the movie includes soundwave coming to earth and reviving megatron, and then more mindless robot violence. but i doubt if the dinobots would ever be brought around, it just doesnt seem likely.
lookin forward to it.
...........Now there can peace in the Middle East!
The 1st "Transformers" was not that memorable!
