Will Vin Diesel return as the futuristic outlaw Richard Riddick in the near future? It certainly seems to be the case.
MTV Movies Blog recently spoke to Vin Diesel about future installments in the
The Chronicles of Riddick series and he said that two more films are in the works.
"David Twohy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the
The Lord Of The Rings guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time. There are two more in mind," Diesel said. "
The Chronicles of Riddick was presented as a three part trilogy that would answer
Pitch Black in the same way that
The Lord Of The Rings answered
The Hobbit."
When asked where the next installment would take place, Diesel replied, "Sooner or later, we all end up in the Underverse. Sooner or later."
