Another Slice of American Pie Coming to Theaters?

Source:  Moviehole
It seems that the franchise that made us look at pie in interesting ways is coming back for another helping. According to Moviehole, it seems that Universal is scrapping its lucrative straight-to-DVD American Pie spinoff's and moving forward with a fourth theatrical feature film.

It was also said that this fourth film might catch up with Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan's Jim and Michelle, who were married in the last theatrical outing, American Wedding.

Of course, this hasn't been confirmed by the studio and no cast has signed on or, as far as we know, no script exists as of yet. We'll surely keep you posted on this new entry into the popular comedy franchise.

this could be a good idea but with judd apatow know being well the main source of comedy the will need something a lil extra to compete maybe Jason Reitman

i don't know what it means to "five a shit" but that doesn't sound like something i would be into either.

well moviemaniac i appreciate your enthusiasm, but clearly the idea of a movie being a money maker is not what gets me interested in stuff.

having said that, i agree that if they were to get the original cast back together it could have potential, but off hand im just not interested.

Ive been hoping for a fourth one but only if they take this route : American Parents : beeing a new father of two ( 5 and 2) , i know for a fact that this could be a funny ass direction to take m i would love to see Stifler parenting skills

I hope to god this is just a rumor. If not, Universal listen up. The American Pie series is great and American Wedding gave it a bottom. There simply should be no more AP movies, PERIOD. Let it go, will ya? Man I'm tired of all these shitty comeback ideas.

I agree, this could be good with the entire cast back. Without all of them forget about it.

I like the idea. I always thought they'd make another and end up calling it "American Baby". What types of sick and crazy things would Jim and Michelle do as up and coming parents? Can we say sex scene with a pregnant Michelle? Lots of possibilities..I'd go to see it, as long as they stay away from a Knocked Up knock off. What do you guys think?

No this could be good if they got everyone back together. Like an American Pie high school reunion (10 years) or something. And I am talking about EVERYONE from the original cast. That would be funny and a HUGE money maker.
